Dubai has revealed that it will organise the first World Future Sports Games in December 2017 as part of its new economic sector, Future Sports, supported by the city’s World Federation of Future Sports.

The event will feature nine competitions based on modern technology and artificial intelligence sports. These will include driverless car racing, robotic swimming, running, and wrestling, robotic table tennis and soccer, drones and manned drones racing, and a cybathlon competition.

Teams from around the world will be able to participate.

The future sports initiatives were launched under the instructions of the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
